2. Why are we here?

· Marie was pleased with the Back to School Dance

· Marie expects that the initiative shown by the Seniors will continue

3. Brainstorming

· Responsibilities of Seniors in HRYG

o Leadership

§ Taking charge of our YG

§ Marie is not sure she is meeting teens’ needs

§ Seniors need to be set a good example

§ Seniors need to be invested

§ Seniors need to look outside of themselves to how they can serve

§ Seniors need to decide what their legacy will be

o Guidance

§ Mentoring the younger teens

§ Acknowledge that HRYG is one big family

§ Get to know the younger teens

§ Have clean fun – NO PRANKS!

§ Communicate with Marie about dates

o Step out of the Seniors group

o Teens, especially Seniors should be the brains behind the operation

o Halloween Dance on October 17

o Seniors should work with adults on prayer services for the Fall Retreat

o Ice Cream Socials during Fellowship to build community

4. Beach Trip

· We need to have fun

· Boys need to tone it down

o Came off as disrespectful towards the adults

o We need to be kind to each other

o Adults are not the enemy

o Major work on prayer services

o Eliminating skits

o Sleepovers for girls

o Going on Beach Trip is by invitation even for Seniors, No one is entitled to go

· Come up with a Facebook page

· No late Permission Slips
