THREE SAVES!

On Wed Morning March 9 at 5915 Greenbelt Rd, Berwyn Heights, Maryland (College Park), in front of the ‘Metropolitan Family Planning’ abortion mill several prayer partners converted the hearts of two mothers.  And then, Monday evening, March 14th, through the great work of one prayer vigil-er, a young mother was consoled and brought to Laurel Pregnancy Center! Three saves through people being there in prayer - We need more people there in prayer, Amen.

Save #1:

Sam Thompson, Stewart Schwartz, and a gentleman named Brad, were on the site March Ash Wednesday.  Mid morning the clinic door was locked when a Spanish speaking couple tried to enter.  Stewart told them, “The clinic is closed, but I know where you can get some free pregnancy help.”  He gave her a handout from Centro Tepeyac.  She gave it to her male companion who glanced at it and then threw it on the ground after which Stewart said “It’s free” and then she took another flier.  They got into the car and Stewart walked over to the XTRA gas station and motioned to them to come to talk to him.  They came over and Stewart handed the woman a booklet on the development stages of babies in the womb in the Spanish from the ADW.  The male companion was obviously not interested. She pointed to the booklet and said “eight?”  Stewart said “Yes eight”.  They did not speak English but it was clear that the couple was arguing.  The male companion was holding his forefinger and thumb with a .25 inch gap, presumably saying that was how big the baby was and Stewart was shaking his head saying “no” and holding his fingers at 2 inches.  They drove off arguing.

Save #2:

‘Louisa’ an obviously pregnant black woman came with a tall black male companion from the other side of the street to the clinic.  The door was locked & Stewart said “It’s closed, but I have information on free pregnancy help”.  He handed her info from the Laurel pregnancy center and the ADW booklet in English on development.  They went to the back of the building to try one of the doors that were locked and sat on the steps and began going through the literature.  A short while later the doors were unlocked, they entered and were inside for nearly two hours.  When Deacon Perfecto, from St. Mary of the Mills, was leading us in the rosary, Louisa came outside and tapped Stewart on the shoulder and asked for another ‘Laurel Pregnancy Card’.   Stewart began conversing with her and said “Can I ask you a personal question?”

“Sure”

“Were you thinking about getting an abortion?”

“Yes I was thinking about it but now I’m not going to get one.”

“You had one scheduled?”

“Yes.”

“Why did you decide not to get it?”

“That booklet, I didn’t know the baby looked like that and was that size.”

“I don’t want to embarrass you, but can I tell these people what you told me.”

“OK.”

Stewart then interrupted the rosary.  People hugged and congratulated her and Deacon Perfecto blessed her.

A Life is Saved!

Testimony of a St. Mary’s Parishioner - Regina Piazza

On Monday, March 14, I drove to the College Park abortion mill as a part of the “40 Days for Life” effort to pray that the women seeking abortions there would look at other options and that the abortion mill would be closed.

Around 6 p.m. when I was about to leave, a woman approached the abortion mill but found that it was closed.  With courage from above, I approached the woman and began to talk with her asking if she was pregnant and about her situation.  She (“Danielle”) was insistent that she had to have an abortion as she could not handle the pregnancy on her own.  I shared with her the other options available and reassured her that there was much support available for her and her baby.

After talking for a while and even praying with her she eventually agreed to let me take her to the Laurel Pregnancy Center to hear about the options, and to learn about the help and financial support that is available for pregnant women in need.

As we drove there, “Danielle” was still wavering and hesitant on keeping her baby.

We arrived at the Laurel Pregnancy Center and were greeted and counseled by an awesome young woman.  The Counselor showed much compassion, and we spent much time discussing “Danielle’s” situation.  As we talked, “Danielle” held a small wooden baby in her hand – the same size as the baby that was in her womb.  “Danielle” was surprised to hear of all of the support she would be given, and how much everyone cared for her and her baby.

This is when her eyes were opened and she began to believe she was not alone.  We scheduled a free sonogram for Tuesday, March 22, and are waiting to hear back from the Gabriel Network about possible housing or other type of financial support and help.

“Danielle” will not be left alone.  She will receive much support now from good helpful people.

God touched “Danielle” that night. God touched me that night! He will never leave us alone!!!
