First Friday Mass for Peace
A Mass for Peace is celebrated at
7:30 p.m. on the
First
Friday of each month. The
next Mass for Peace will be on
June 1,
2012
at 7:00
p.m.
NOTE: The June Peace
Mass will be held in conjuntion with the Holy
Redeemer School 8th Grade Graduation
– reason for the Mass time change to
7:00 p.m..

Feast of the Ascension: In the
Washington Archdiocese the Solemnity of the
Ascension is celebrated in place of the
7th Sunday of Easter (May 20). Thursday
(May 17) is NOT a holyday of obligation

Memorial Day (May 28): Mass will be
celebrated at 10:00 a.m.

100th Anniversary Book
It’s not too late to participate in the
Holy Redeemer 100 Year Anniversary Book. In
order to cover the cost of this publication
and to allow individuals and businesses in
the community to participate in our celebration,
we are soliciting advertisements or congratulatory
messages to be placed therein.You may participate
in this endeavor, either personally, for your
group or business. Please fill out the

and place it with your payment in the
collection basket through May 20,
2012. Please mark the envelope
“ANNIVERSARY
PUBLICATION”.

100th Anniversary Parishioners
History Project
The 100 th Anniversary Committee is
embarking upon the Holy Redeemer Parishioners
History Project. This project was created to
compile the collective stories and memories of
parishioners, past and present, as well as friends
of the parish, for sharing with the community.

Holy Redeemer Parish and School Picnic
The Annual Holy Redeemer Parish and School Picnic
will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012, 1:00–4:00
p.m. at the Knights of Columbus, 10412 Cherry Hill
Rd., College Park, MD.
• Food and drinks will be provided
• The swimming pool will be open—$2
guest fee for non-members
• The Knights of Columbus do not allow pets
or glass bottles on the premises
• Mass will be celebrated on the grounds at
4:15 p.m.

bring a folding chair.)
